That'due south the one! It has both Windows & Linux drivers. I did go back a folio on this thread, there'due south too one from the Microsoft library, but the one from Intel is the latest, although it's an older product. I have that very same chipset in my notebook, so it's fairly former. There's a Win 2K driver listed, likewise. I'll apply them in the forenoon and see if I tin tell any difference.

Intel is not supporting whatsoever drivers in Windows 7 for this family unit of Chipsets.
Nor is there any support for Vista.
You're out of luck on this one.
Are you lot looking for graphics drivers for Windows seven*?
The Microsoft Windows 7* operating organization (Os) supports 2 unlike graphics driver models: the Windows* Display Driver Model (WDDM ane.0 & 1.1) and the older Windows* XP Driver Model (XPDM). WDDM drivers provide the 3D graphical user interface feel to users.
XPDM drivers provide an interface that visually resembles the Windows XP user interface and practise not support Windows 7 Os premium features such as the Microsoft Aero* user interface.
Only XPDM drivers** are available for the following older Intel® graphics controllers:
- Mobile Intel® 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family
- Intel® 82915G/82910GL Express Chipset Family unit
- Intel® 82865G Graphics Controller
- Intel® 82852/82855 Graphics Controller
- Intel® 82845G Graphics Controller
- Intel® 82830M Graphics Controller
- Intel® 82815 Graphics Controller
- Intel® 82810 Graphics Controller
Note Intel has not tested XPDM graphics drivers on the Windows 7 operating organization. XPDM drivers may install just may function with limited functionality.

Y'all're right, Windows 7 will run on my notebook, and consumes less resources (contrary to many reports, battery life is better) only it doesn't look equally good as it does on a modernistic system. It was built to run XP Pro. However, Vista looks actually proficient on information technology, fifty-fifty better than XP does. Problem is, even with 2GB RAM (it's max), information technology's a fiddling slower, and has shorter battery life.
Funny matter, Windows vii & Vista has similar graphics, Vista looks proficient on information technology, while vii is irksome looking. Merely Vista was released less than a twelvemonth subsequently it was congenital, mabye that explains why it looks ameliorate than vii does.

I had the same issue with my Dell Latitude D610 that has the very same chipset, 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family. Last calendar week, I installed Win 7 Pro (32 scrap) on it. In the past Windows Update bailed me out, only non this time, the icons were really big, and I couldn't see the whole folio.
What I could exercise was accommodate the resolution, it looked proficient, but later a reboot, everything went back the way it was. And so my merely hope was to expect on Intel's site, they had no drivers for Win seven or Vista (using their 'scan' utility), and I had to dig through athenaeum to discover a suitable driver.
Finally, I found one, a Win 2K driver, at commencement it didn't work, and so a screen appeared, offering to "reinstall, using recommended settings". It worked perfectly.
No, it's screen doesn't wait shut to this one, merely at least it's readable, and usable. For a 6 year old notebook, information technology looks good.
